Montenegro - From the classroom; resources for safe and inclusive schools
This project involves collaboration between the Nansen Dialogue Centre and Ministry of Education and Science in Montenegro and the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Victoria Australia to support teachers write peace education and conflict resolution materials for online use.

Workshops have been conducted in Podgorica, Montenegro in April 2011 and April 2012 to review good practices to reduce conflict in schools. Australian values education resources and approaches, as well as lessons used by English teachers in Montenegro, were showcased as part of these workshops. A writing template was developed and teachers are currently working on draft lessons. These will be edited and redrafted through June.

This project has been developed as the result of existing collaborative activities between members of the Peace Education Working Group from the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC). GPPAC is a world-wide civil society network dedicated to promoting peaceā€“building, with a strong focus on conflict prevention and the Working Party consists of regional representatives of GPPAC involved in knowledge sharing and collaboration.
